What's the melt blown fabric?
Melt blown fabric is mainly produced with polypropylene (pp) raw material with some electrostatic electret masterbatch. The fabric fiber diameter can reach 1 to 5 microns. It has many properties such as many voids, fluffy structure and good resistance to folding. The ultrafine fibers with unique capillary structure increase the number and surface area of fibers per unit area, to ensure the melt blown fabric has good filtration, shielding, heat insulation and oil absorption performance. It has widely usage,for example, air filtration, liquid filtration, insulation materials, absorption materials, mask materials, thermal insulation materials, oil-absorbing materials and wipers,etc.
What's the raw material for melt blown fabric?
Usually, two materials are used for production of melt blown fabric:
1, modified polypropylene(pp) granules with MFI 1500.
2, electret masterbatch, as the additive for enhancing the electrostatic absorbing performance.
What's the production flowchart of melt blown fabric?
Melt blown fabric is produced by the single screw extrusion line with special spinneret mould, as well as the hot air blowing system.
A complete melt blown fabric production line includes many units, for example，
1, material loader and dryer
2, single screw extruder.
3, hydraulic screen changer.
4, melt metering pump.
5, spinneret mould.
6, hot air system.
7, fabric receiving conveyor.
8, electrostatic system.
9, slitting and winding unit.

For the smooth production and maintenance, some auxiliary machines are required, for example,
1, mixer for modified PP granules and electret granules.
